1. Use a covered area
The best place to carry out a self-inspection is under covered parking with good lighting. If your car is normally street-parked and it’s raining, you could try using a local car wash to take photos.
2. Wipe your car
This obvious but important step just takes minutes! Use a chamois or soft cloth to wipe down your car before taking photos.
3. Wipe your camera lens
Wipe your camera lens clean to prevent blurring or lens flare on your inspection images.
4. Use bright images
Make sure to take pictures under bright lighting to result in quality pics. FYI bright, natural lighting looks best!
5. Mind your umbrella
When taking images under rainfall, make sure your umbrella doesn’t appear in the image by tilting the cover slightly.
6. Note car damage manually
Car damage can be difficult to view in the rain, so use the annotation tool or comment section to indicate any aesthetic issues that are not visible under rainfall.
